antiques, modern wooden furniture and most wooden artifacts.
We offer a full range of true restoration services, including spot
repairing localized areas of damage, full antique restorations, color
matching and re-creation of virtually any missing wooden components.
Unfortunately, virtually all of the franchise refinishing services today
can only offer a few weekends of employee training and consequently,
all artifacts are typically treated the same. They are simply dipped
,stripped and refinished, losing most or all of their historical record.
We offer a very different alternative.
We believe that fine antiques should be treated with the care and
deference that their venerable age deserves, and value necessitates.
Our philosophy is that the integrity of the piece is key and will not be
violated. We adhere to the following:
- Nothing non-original will be added to the piece.
- Degraded finishes will be restored with the same finish material.
- Glues and fastening techniques original to the period will be used.
- Missing wood will be repaired with like wood from the period
Through out our work, we leverage our deep education to provide the
best result possible. We understand the latest available waterbased
systems , but also the oldest technologies such as Kushmi Shellac
coatings imported from India
Our objective is to restore the beauty of the piece as well as to enhance
its value.
